ZAFA FOODS INDUSTRIES SDN BHD is a local company involved in manufacturing foods products. We start doing our own R&D for chili flakes and chili ground to meet our own taste in order that the chili flakes and chili ground we bought in the market is just crushed dried chili without additional ingredient. Starting with try and error, we come out our own recipes and distribute to relatives and friends for their feedback before produce the chili flakes and chili ground officially. 

We start using ‘Royal Spice’ as our branding in earlier stage but unfortunately unable to register the brand in IPO due to the word spice. Therefore, we have to brainstorming our ideas before coming up with our new brand called MASTERCOOK® as our registered trademark. 

Currently, MASTERCOOK® are in the midst of entering local market. Our product is available at physical stores and e-commerce platform. We did introduce our product to Singapore market, through Al Barakah. The product sampling was taken place on 8th March 2020 and the feedback was great which we able to sell 60 bottles of Chilli Flakes & Chilli Ground within 4 hours. During pandemic, our product had been chosen to be in the TV program called “Package Stimulus IKS TV Al -Hijrah” under Covid19 Recovery program on 23rd June 2020, 9.10 am in the slot “Assalamualaikum”.  On 9th September 2021 until 31st December 2021, we were participated on the 17th Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) under the patronage of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia. MIHAS is a world-class Halal Showcase that harnesses and amplifies Malaysia’s strength as the global Halal hub.  

Our future plans are exporting MASTERCOOK® to overseas market. We are planning for expansions considerations for rapidly growing business. By selling the product to another country, most and foremost we are introducing our company to the huge market, increase sales and profits, gain brand recognition, reduce the risk of only operation in one market, due to economic or seasonal downturn. We did liaise with Japan by sending sample to them, to Thailand and by year end to Hong Kong and China.  We will be having an agreement with Turkey market soon and in the midst of discussion with UK representative.
