In October 2016, IDFA Trading was established to sell and distribute special canned drinks to the vending machine operator. At the end of 2017, IDFA Trading began to discuss with manufacturers to produce its own branded drink, Cheeper, as an OEM. In June 2018 IDFA Trading moved to a larger location to allow Cheeper water production operations to be carried out 'in-house' under the guidance of MARDI.
Successfully obtained Halal certification from Jakim on the 1st of September 2020 IDFA Trading started an OEM project with customers who want to produce drinking water using their own brand after obtaining Halal Status for the OEM process on December 16, 2022.
In order to ensure customer satisfaction in accordance with the authority's regulations, all Cheeper products have met the requirements of 'Healthier Choice' by the Ministry of Health Malaysia since 16th August 2020. In addition, the factory has also been certified MeSTI (Food Safe Industry Responsibility) by the Ministry of Health Malaysia on 13th May 2022.
